The Larry Ludwig slide collection consists of approximately 10,000 slides taken between 1955 and 199?. The slides have been mounted in glass to prevent their warping while they are being shown in a projector. They are stored in 85 boxes. And they have been indexed!

The index, originally done in Paradox, has six fields:

The index has been transferred to Microsoft Access, so those with skill in this program can perform more powerful searches.

The index is stored in 15 separate tables each encompassiong a year or group of years. Following is a summary of each table:

SLI55-59 From April 27, 1955 through Dec 31, 1959. It starts with a picture of the Heibels (friends of K&L) in Los Angeles before going in to the sequoias. There is a trip along the coast to visit Hockey in Lompoc, Santa Barbara for the oil wells, San Juan Capistrano, back to LA. Shadow play at Redeemer in December 1955 and Dot's 16th birthday in Brooklyn..A trip to Washington and Skyline Drive in May of 1956. In the summer, family in Brooklyn, Portchester, Paradise Falls, Brownsville, Littleton, and Ames Hill. Everyone at Michels for Thanksgiving. The Bischofs. St. Johnsbury.

Then in January 1957, off for Iran. Paris, Rome, Istanbul along the way. Over the next couple years: Tehran and close by Ab Ali, Lash Karak, Damvand. Further off, Karaj, Veramin, Isfahan, Persepolis, Shiraz, Shu Shah, Kharg Island, Shustar, Agha Jari, Masjid-i-suleiman,Gachsaran, Das Gumbadan. Some oilfields, lots of scenery, shrines and history, some people.

Kitty and Dot took a side trip to Beirut, Ballbeck, Byblos, Sidon, Jerusalem in April 1957 and took the camera! Trip back to States in April 1959 through Greece, Italy, West Germany, Austria, Netherlands, England, Scotland and a foray into Wales at Llangollen.

Home to Brooklyn, Paradise Falls, Portchester. Off to Providence to see Dick and Carole at the Rhode Island School of Design. Trip to Washington, Williamsburg and Harper's Ferry. To close at the Morrow's New Year's Eve party in Brooklyn Dec 31, 1959. Slides: 1-A01 through 6-F21.

SLI69-70 From Feb 2, 1969 through Dec 28, 1970. In London, and a quick trip to Stroudsburg to see 16 month old Donna. Fro March to beginning of April a trip outside of London to Cambridge, Canterbury, Winchester. Salisbury, Eype's Mouth, Looe, Launceston and Tintagel. Then off to Australia for a reconnaisance and on return, Fricke's visit and then more tripping in England: Coventry, Chipping Norton, Llangollen, Chester, Grasmere, Windermere (Kitty at tea at the Langdale Chase), Housteads, Durham, York, Ely, Isleham, King's Lynn. London and Greenwich with visit by Mary and Dot.

September 1969 - Stroudsburg, Brownsville and Wernersville. Back to London - visit to Milton's cottage at Chalfont and ythen brass rubbing: Lingfield! Trip to Cornwall, Penzance, Land's End, St. Ives. October to Melbourne again. Back to London and a bunch of art at the British Museum, then on to:Godalming, Chicester, Arundel, Brighton, Lewes, Pevensey, Hastings, Rye, Cudham. In December to Buffalo for David Allan, then on to Reg, Lutzs, Lorenzs

In February a West Bremen refinery model and then a trip to Windsor, Aldbury, Dorchester, Upper Slaughter, Gloucester, Worcester, Chipping Camden. April trip to U.S. Las Vegas and surrounding. Then Brownsville. On to Grand Canyon, Montezuma, San Diego. June Miraleste - family visits and California relatives. Lompoc, San Juan Capistrano, Yosemite and finishing year with a dolphin at Marineland. Slides 44-D24 through 50-A11
